Thanks for your light, Rebecca. The idea that racism was born and raised in America is silly (to put it lightly).

I appreciate you speaking to racism’s antecedent, colonialism. Without it, the transatlantic slave trade doesn’t happen.

Anyone, American or otherwise who attempts to delegitimize the experience or action of another Black person or serious anti-racism practitioner based on their respective geography is trying to colonize the work. In doing so, they are perpetuating the same white supremacist mindset that maintains the global aberration.
